About
Hi there. My name is Linda Miles and I’m a 4th year Primary Education student at the University of Technology, Sydney. I’m turning 27 this year and looking forward to completing my final year at Uni and begin teaching! I have one older brother who works in I.T and has just had his first baby!
I completed my HSC in 1999 and studied Human Resources / Training part-time at TAFE for a few years whilst working in Recruitment. Although I liked this, I wasn’t completely satisfied and always had teaching in the back of my mind.
After visiting Canada for a year on a working visa, I decided it was time to ‘bite the bullet’ and begin my teaching degree. The last 3 years have gone quite quickly and I’ve had a ball at Uni with new found friends! The opportunity to participate in Practicum’s in the 1st semester of Uni has been amazing and I feel very excited about teaching next year!
I often find myself on the Internet everyday .. usually on Facebook, checking my email or reading the news. I do enjoy using technology, but feel a little ‘out of the loop’ with the constant new technology that comes out! Technology will definitely be incorporated into my classroom when I begin teaching!
